What I’m Watching
Hi, Beyond the threshold! I’m currently looking for new shows to watch and would love to hear your recommendations! In the meantime, I thought it might be fun to tell you about all the shows I’m watching as of late and why I love them!
I really enjoy specific genres of shows and movies. Now, in saying specific, I mean I have no idea what genre, but they all usually have the same characteristics. My most typical to watch involves horror, dark romance, action romance, and maybe some comedy thrown in there occasionally, but personally i really love dark, horror, romance. All in one. My favorite movie of all time is Twilight; every movie hits so hard in the saga. It has action, drama, romance, it’s literally everything I love in one.
One of my favorite shows at the moment is ‘The Night Agent’ on Netflix. This show is fast-paced, action-packed, a love story, just all the good things in one. Without giving much away, a quick summary of this 3-season series involves Peter, who works for the government. He gets caught up in a HUGE scandal and works to fix it while getting caught in a lot of situations, including falling in love. I’m still finishing season 3, but so far, I’m still obsessed with this show. I can’t wait to see how this season concludes. It is just such a good storyline with great film movements and scenes.
Another show I’m pretty into right now is ‘The Pitt’ on HBO Max. I have been lacking on watching it, but from what I’ve seen, there are two seasons so far, with the second season still in production, with new episodes every Thursday. I think I’ve been enjoying this show because it is fast-paced, and the medical field interests me greatly. I’ve heard many healthcare workers refer to this show as very realistic and accurate to what a day in the life is like.
Fairly popular, ‘Bridgerton’ on Netflix, is something I actually have been enjoying; it doesn’t follow my typical dark and moody vibe, but I’m still enjoying the show. I think Bridgerton is enjoyable because it is a love story, but it still involves a good, not overbearing bought of drama. It’s an extravagant show with big parties and beautiful ball gowns, I really think it’s hard not let it capture you. The second part of the latest season was released the same day I’m posting this, so i havent gotten to watch it yet, but so far I have really enjoyed this season’s storyline.
Now totally out of character for me, but I’ve actually been watching ‘The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives’. This show is just so hilarious, like it really hits how different people’s lives are watching this show. I’m fully caught up with everything that’s been released in this show, so I’m just waiting for the next season to drop. I think I enjoy it because of how outlandish it is, like drinking pee, drinking copious amounts of soda, but coffee is wrong? Like its all just so interesting.
Now, before you recommend the basics, I’ve probably watched them already. ‘The Walking Dead’ is one of my favorites, and I’ve probably watched it 10 plus times. The ‘Fosters’ is something I watched a while ago, but I am rewatching it now as I remembered enjoying it. I’ve seen ‘The Vampire Diaries’, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, ‘Teen Wolf’, ‘Stranger Things’, ‘Outerbanks’, ‘My Life with the Walter Boys’, ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’, you name it, I’ve probably seen it.
Finally, my most recent completed watch that genuinely was not at all what I expected was The Hunting Wives. This was not one bit what I thought it would be or what I was told to expect; it ventured so far off my mind’s track, but it was so GOOD. I truly hope another season comes out because it was such an enjoyable show.
