Holiday Haul/Loved Products
Merry Christmas, Beyond The Threshold! I took one week off to enjoy the holidays and be with family. No matter what you celebrate during this time, I hope you enjoyed it. This week, I want to give you all some inspiration and share a Christmas gift haul, as well as some products and things that I just love and would recommend year-round!
Everyone loves a good gift haul. If you use social media, this time of year, every other post is someone doing a Christmas gift haul. If you're anything like me, you always stop to watch. Instead of a visual haul, I wanted to write it all down and supply links to everything mentioned, for anyone reading, who just wants to find the good stuff, and not have to do all the web searching!
I specifically asked for items I'd get the most use out of, rather than quick-fix, fun things that get used once and never again. I absolutely love being creative, so my parents usually fill the Christmas tree with presents that are crafty, painting, crochet, diamond art, Lego, etc. This year, I asked them to go light, as there were other things that I would've preferred and would get more use out of. My two gifts that are aligned to my crafty side would be two small photo albums and a LEGO set! The photo albums were gifted to me so I can print and store memories from trips, including my upcoming trip to Mexico! I'm ecstatic to be going to Mexico and so excited to take tons of pictures and put them in my photo album. Photo albums are such a great gift for people who take lots of pictures. We rely so heavily on technology to keep our memories safe, but the truth is, things happen, and it's not always the safest place. A photo album is a great way to keep our moments saved and preserve them forever! You can find photo albums nearly anywhere. You can find the ones I was gifted on Amazon, with multiple different colors available and at an affordable price. Finally, I was gifted a Bronco Lego set! My dream car is a Ford Bronco, specifically a 1970’s edition. While it is not in the cards for me to get myself a Bronco right now, my parents still found a way to help me get halfway to my dream! I cannot wait to put it together and see my new Bronco right in front of my face. It seems to be carried in most stores, including Target, Kohl's, the LEGO store, and more.
I got some clothes from two specific stores this year, as I didn't ask for much in the clothes department. Old Navy truly shone this year, as I was truly impressed with the selection and what I was gifted. I received ankle socks in white and multiple other colors, which are to die for comfy. I'm truly impressed with the quality and how comfy they are. They sit so nicely on your feet and were such an affordable price! Also from Old Navy, I received a pair of brown sweatpants. I'm very tall and always have trouble finding pants that are long enough. These sweatpants are so comfortable and fit so well, I was so excited to find them. They seem to have multiple colors available as well, and I think as soon as I'm able to, I may go back for more! Bags go with clothing in my head, so I have to mention my three gifts from Coach! My partner, my mom, and my partner's mother gifted me items from Coach, and I am so obsessed. My partner gifted me a beautiful wallet; the one linked is not the color I was given, but it is the same style of wallet. The purse my partner's mother gifted is a gorgeous shoulder bag in the color marro. I could not find the same color bag; however, linked is the same bag style in a different color. The bag my mother got me is a very summery, light, and beautiful bag that I am so excited to use. I could not find this bag on the website anywhere. Lastly, I received skincare, makeup, and hygiene products that I love! This Christmas was like a product restock for me. Being in school full-time, money is tight, and I'm doing my best to spend little and save up. That means I was out of some of my favorite go-to’s and waited till Christmas to get them. I love skin care that is natural and has no harsh products in it; that's not necessary for 20-year-old skin. I like moisturizers and the occasional serum/toner. My absolute favorite brand is Coco Kind. I fell in love with this brand around 2 years ago, and so far, every product has been so good. My absolute favorite is the electrolyte water cream hydrater. This hydrates and refreshes my skin so much that I cannot live without it. This was one of the biggest things I wanted this Christmas. I have so many products from this brand, yet I never tried their lip balms. So, my other gift from this brand this year was their balmy bliss duo set, which came with two of their lip balms and two charms to attach to each. This set was specific to Christmas time and looks to be no longer available, but the attached link brings you to one of their multiple lip balms! I try so hard not to wash my hair every day anymore. There was a time in my life when my hair was washed everyday if not multiple times a day. After learning how terrible that can be for your hair I’ve been trying not to wash my hair for 2-3 days. This is only possible with dry shampoo. I've tried so many of them, and none hit right, other than Not Your Mother's beach babe dry shampoo.
I also received a few items for my future home. One being a Grate plate for garlic and other foods that may need to be mashed and ground. I think the grate plate could be super useful, especially for my partner and me, as we love garlic and cooking homemade things. Grate plates can be found in many different stores. They can be somewhat pricey, but it depends on where you shop and what quality of plate you purchase. I also received a ceramic cream and sugar set, pie cutter, and small white pumpkin salt and pepper shakers. This section was on the pricier side, but are quality items, and I'm so excited to finally use them when I move out in the future.
